Company History


Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare was born following the acquisition of DeVilbiss Healthcare by Drive Medical in 2015. Drive Medical had grown significantly since its inception in 2007 and was widely regarded as one of the fastest growing major manufacturers and distributors of durable medical equipment.


As well as very strong organic growth, Drive Medical and Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare invested significantly to bring leading businesses into the group from across the UK. These acquisitions include;


  • Medicare Technology, a provider of innovative mobility and healthcare products distributed by a network of retailers.
  • Welland Medical, a UK manufacturer of community loan store equipment.
  • Aquajoy, market leader in the provision of bathlifts to the community care market.
  • Mountway, another provider of bathlifts and bathroom safety products.
  • Days Healthcare product lines; including the Casa bed range and powered mobility products.
  • Specialised Orthotic Services (SOS), a specialist in postural and bespoke seating solutions.
  • Park House Healthcare, a pressure area care support surfaces provider.
  • DeVilbiss Healthcare, a manufacturer of respiratory therapy products.
  • Sidhil Ltd, a UK manufacturer of specialist acute and community care beds and service provision.

Throughout the years, our continuous growth and expansion has strengthened our UK operations. We now have collectively over 130 years of healthcare manufacturing experience in the UK as well as a fantastic UK wide and global distribution network, a nationwide service operation and a comprehensive range of innovative products that make a real difference to individuals’ independent lifestyles.

Providing a comprehensive range of products for the hospital, long term care, primary care and home environments, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare can help meet the needs of all users, no matter the setting.


In-Patient Provision


We offer a wide range of high-quality electric profiling beds, patient trolleys, pressure care mattresses and many other aids for the hospital and long-term care environment. Even whilst in a hospital or a care home, it is vital to remain as mobile and independent as possible, from ICU beds promoting early mobilisation strategies, to walking frames and crutches; we design, develop and supply products to enhance the user’s quality of life.


At Home


Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare have an extensive range of daily living aids to help users live independently or via supported care at home. We can provide assistive products from mobility aids to bathroom safety equipment and a variety of other household aids to promote independent living. If recently discharged from hospital, we offer a range of supportive products to assist during rehabilitation or to support assisted care. We recognise the impact that at-home independence can have on a user’s confidence and mental wellbeing. Even the smallest daily living aid can make life easier, providing comfort and maintaining independent living.
